This disclosure explains how LingoPlace uses artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance your language learning experience.
AI Features We Offer
LingoPlace uses AI in several ways to help you learn:

When you use these features, you are interacting with artificial intelligence systems, not humans.
What Data is Sent to AI Providers
When you use AI features, we send:
- AI Tutor: Your conversation messages, AI responses, and current lesson/exercise context
- Translation/Explanation: The selected word or phrase, your language pair, and current lesson/exercise context
What We Do NOT Send
We never send your personal identifiers to AI providers:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your account ID
AI Providers We Use
We use the following third-party AI providers to power our AI features:

Data Retention
Our AI providers temporarily retain data for service operation and abuse monitoring, then automatically delete it. Retention periods vary by provider—see their privacy policies linked above for current details.
Your data is NOT used to train AI models when accessed via API.
Limitations
AI technology has inherent limitations:
- AI responses may contain errors or inaccuracies
- AI is not a substitute for professional language instruction
- AI cannot verify cultural nuances in all contexts
- AI knowledge may be outdated
